Diana is Alive

Image
Diana left to the MTC in Guatemala City May 7th. She had a red eye flight to Guatemala from SLC with a layover in LAX. She traveled with a group of missionaries and ended up getting stuck in LAX all night, a total of 7 hours in a plane. She said the airplane had flat tire and some other issues. When she finally got to the Guatemala MTC at 3pm. We have video chatted with Diana a total of 3 times with Diana since she's been out thanks to the recent missionary rule changes and Mother's Day. She hasn't written a letter for me to post or sent any photos. So Diana. Plus it is hard for her to divide up her time with video chatting and emailing. But she has a companion from Mexico City and she is in the advanced Spanish district. She feels pretty overwhelmed right now learning gospel Spanish. She mentioned yesterday that they made her go to the Guatemala temple at 6am. haha if you know Diana you know not to mess with her sleep! Overall she seems to be enjoying her MTC experienc...

She made it!

Diana here! I have arrived and I am slowly adjusting. Guatemala is very pretty. I've cried a few times but I've also had great times too. They gave me all my papers in spanish and I have to read and fill them out. I'm not very good at reading and spelling in Spanish so I'm a little slow... but it'll come with time! The MTC here is super small and I like it a lot. Its kinda like high school where you only have 25 kids in your math class, well that how it is all the time here. Well my time is up!  Love, Hermana Sanchez       Here a few photos from dropping her off at the airport. We are so happy she made it safely! A friend of mine from my mission actually works at the Guatemala MTC so we received a message that she made it late last night!

Farewell Diana

If you've met Diana you know how special she is. There are a lot of mixed feelings letting her leave but we know that The Lord will bless and protect her these next 18 months.  This coming Tuesday January 30th she will be dropped off at the Salt Lake City airport heading for the Guatemala MTC. We are excited for this new chapter of her life, we know she will do great things in Guatemala.  She is so talented and hilarious, we know the people of Guatemala will love her. Growing up being the second to last child she was well taken care of by her older siblings. But she will always be a daddy's girl, whenever my dad needs help with anything he calls Diana and she is always there for him. Her personality one of those that gets along with everyone. She has a good relationship with everyone of her 7 siblings.  You can kinda say she grew up with the gospel, thanks to her older sisters. They were baptized when she was about 4 years old. Diana, Mireya and I shared...
